In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming rural poultry farming, the Livestock and Dairy Development Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) unveiled the first of 30 semi-environmentally controlled poultry sheds in Village Sowkai,<\/a> District Mardan. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony, held on January 25, 2024, marked a significant step towards poverty alleviation through the development of rural poultry in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the ADP Scheme, the Livestock Department’s project is designed to increase poultry meat production, bridge the demand-supply gap, stabilize markets, and improve the livelihoods of local communities. The semi-environmentally controlled poultry sheds are equipped with modern technology to ensure optimal conditions for poultry farming, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished personalities, including Dr. Alam Zeb Mohmand, Director General of the Livestock Department<\/a>; Dr. Naeem Uddin, Project Director; and Dr. Riaz Uddin, Monitoring Officer, graced the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Rizwan Shaukat, CEO of Eastern Veterinary Services, expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts between the ADP team and farmers, highlighting the crucial role of support in meeting quality standards and project timelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, Syed Ahmed Shah congratulated the selected farmers under the ADP Scheme<\/a> for receiving high-quality poultry equipment. He also commended the Livestock Department’s choice of Cyclone equipment for the ADP project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Alam Zeb Mohmand expressed that the inauguration of the first farm signifies the beginning of a transformative journey. The Livestock Department plans to deliver a total of 30 farms to farmers over time, demonstrating a strong commitment to empowering local communities and fostering sustainable agricultural practices.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
