Islamabad: Pakistan earned $379.207 million by exporting 185,007 metric tons of fish and fish preparations in the first eleven months of the current fiscal year, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. This reflects a 16.96% decrease from the $456.668 million collected in the same period last year (July\u2013May 2022-23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of quantity, exports of fish and fish preparations fell by 5.44% during the study period, from 195,642 metric tons the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seafood exports fell by 26.74% in May 2024, to $37.053 million, from $50.578 million in May 2023.
<\/mark><\/strong>Exports also fell by 15.02%, from 22,081 metric tonnes last year to 18,765 metric tonnes this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Seafood exports in May 2024 fell by 14.99% from April 2024, decreasing from $43.586 million to $37.053 million.
The tonnage shipped in May fell by 8.78%, from 20,571 metric tonnes in April to 18,765 metric tonnes.
Despite the fall in fish exports, Pakistan’s overall food category exports climbed by 46.42% in the first eleven months of the current fiscal year, totaling $6,825.932 million v $4,662.030 million at the same time last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
