Punjab Notifies Reduction in Poultry Feed Prices by Rs. 200 per 50 kg Bag<\/h1>\n <\/header>\n\n

\n The Directorate General (Research), Livestock & Dairy Development Department, Punjab has issued\n an official notification announcing a reduction in poultry feed prices across the province.\n Under notification No. 1-11\/Prices\/65.V.A(II)<\/strong>, the decision has been taken under the\n Punjab Price Control of Essential Commodities Ordinance 2023 and related powers vested in the\n Provincial Controller General Prices.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n A technical committee meeting held on 5 December 2025<\/strong> reviewed the cost structure of poultry\n feed and recent changes in market prices of key feed ingredients. According to the committee,\n the prices of most major raw materials used in poultry feed have declined in the open market.\n After consultation with the Broiler Farmers Association<\/strong> and Poultry Feed Producers<\/strong>,\n it was mutually agreed to reduce the price of a 50 kg feed bag by approximately\n Rs. 200<\/strong>.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Exercising his powers, Dr Sajjad Hussain<\/strong>, Director General (Research) and Provincial Controller\n General Prices, has notified the revised ex-mill and maximum retail prices for starter, grower\n and finisher feeds, effective immediately.\n <\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n

Implementation and Compliance<\/h2>\n\n

\n The notification will remain in force for 15 days<\/strong> and will continue to be effective\n until the next meeting of the committee. All Deputy Commissioners and Price Magistrates have\n been directed to ensure strict implementation of the notified rates and to prevent any\n overcharging by retailers or suppliers.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n All feed dealers and shopkeepers are required to display the official rate list\n at a clearly visible place at their outlets. Poultry feed manufacturing companies have also\n been reminded of their obligation under Section 11 of the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005<\/strong>\n to provide complete details of feed ingredients on the product packaging.\n <\/p>\n\n
