The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister\u2019s Electric Bike & Rickshaw Scheme 2026<\/strong> under the broader Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Programme<\/strong>, marking a major step toward sustainable urban transport and reduced fuel dependency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a total allocation of Rs 100 billion<\/strong>, the initiative aims to promote the adoption of electric two- and three-wheelers across the country while strengthening Pakistan\u2019s emerging electric vehicle (EV) industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsidy Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the scheme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 116,000 electric motorcycles<\/strong> will be supported<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Each electric bike will receive a subsidy of Rs 80,000<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Electric rickshaws will receive a subsidy of Rs 400,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The government plans to distribute 76,000 electric bikes by June 2026<\/strong>, with 25% of the quota reserved for female applicants<\/strong> to encourage greater mobility, economic participation, and independence for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
