Emergent Meeting of Feed Millers Held in Lahore to Discuss Sales Tax Issues in Poultry Sector

On 26th July 2024, an emergent meeting of feed millers was organized at Poultry House, Johar Town, Lahore, to discuss the issue of sales tax on the poultry sector. Following the directions of Ch. Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman of the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA), the meeting was held at 24-R, Poultry House, Johar Town, Lahore, to address the challenges facing the poultry feed sector.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Muhammad Sajid Malik Awan, Senior Vice Chairman PPA; Dr. F.M Sabir, Group Leader PPA; Nawab Shahzad Ali, Chairman APSEA; Mr. Khlaeeque Arshad, former Chairman PPA-NZ; Dr. Muhammad Arshad from Hi-Tech; and several notable executive committee members and feed mill owners. The discussions covered all matters related to the sales tax in detail, and the house unanimously decided to approach the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to seek relief from the sales tax.

At the end of the meeting, Ch. Muhammad Ashraf announced that at 00:01 am, it would be Nawab Shahzad Ali’s birthday. With Nawab Shahzad Ali present, the participants celebrated his birthday with a cake-cutting ceremony.
