Dr Sajjad Hussain is playing an important role in Punjab’s Foot and Mouth Disease control programme. His involvement in research, disease surveillance and livestock health initiatives has contributed to efforts aimed at controlling one of the most economically important diseases affecting livestock.
Contributions to Veterinary Research
Dr Sajjad Hussain has also served as Director of the Veterinary Research Institute, where he contributed to veterinary research, disease control programmes and the strengthening of scientific activities related to animal health.

Leadership at LPRI Bahadurnagar
Dr Sajjad Hussain also served as Director of the Livestock Production Research Institute Bahadurnagar. During his tenure, he played an important role in strengthening livestock production research and supporting initiatives aimed at improving the productivity and development of the sector.
