Expert Committee Formed to Review PVMC Act 1996 and Draft Pakistan Animal Sciences Bill

Islamabad, July 1, 2025: The Ministry of National Food Security & Research (Livestock Wing) has officially notified the constitution of an Expert Committee to undertake a comprehensive review of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) Act, 1996 and critically evaluate the proposed Pakistan Animal Sciences Bill.

Stakeholder Engagement: Inclusive consultations with professional bodies, academic institutions, and public/private sector organizations.
Recommendations: Practical proposals to enhance the legal and institutional effectiveness of veterinary governance in Pakistan.

The committee is expected to submit its final report within one month of its formal constitution.
