FVS holds DVM annual dinner at UVAS
LAHORE (15-05-24): The Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore arranged an annual Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Dinner at City Campus Lahore.
Provincial Minister for School Education Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat was the chief guest of the event while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I), Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani and several faculty members, representatives from public & private sectors (pharmaceutical, animal nutrition, poultry, & livestock), and students were present.
Activities like skits, comedy poetry, DVM videos, musicals, cultural performances, & views by students featured in the event.
Meanwhile, Rana Sikandar Hayat inaugurated the digitalization of the UVAS 24/7 extension services system for providing treatment services at the doorstep of the livestock farming community to save their animals from deadly diseases.
While addressing the audience, Rana Sikandar Hayat highlighted the importance of veterinarians for animal welfare, and he urged on the skills enhancement of students to produce well-trained graduates who serve as the best human resource in different fields and enlighten Pakistan’s name nationally & internationally.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said that UVAS is always promoting academia-industry linkages and solving industry issues by utilizing its knowledge and research. He also lauded the efforts of the organizing committee to arrange the annual dinner in a befitting manner Dr Aneela Zameerr Durrani presented the vote of thanks.
At the end of the event, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus, and other dignitaries distributed appreciation certificates among the event organisers.
