Faisalabad, February 19, 2024: In a festive atmosphere on the eve of the Baba Motianwali Sarkar festival, a Milk Competition organized by the Livestock Department in collaboration with Breeder Association 253RB witnessed the participation of 19 elite buffaloes from across Faisalabad Division. The event, held at 253 RB Tehsil & District Faisalabad, brought together esteemed guests like Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar Shah, Director Livestock Faisalabad, Dr. Qaiser Khalique, Additional Director Livestock Faisalabad, Dr. Sohail Ahmad Anjum, Deputy Director Livestock Faisalabad, Hajji Shouqat Dogar from Multan, and Ch. Irfan Gujjar (renowned breeder), along with local dignitaries.
The competition featured two categories:
1st Calvers and Adult Buffaloes. Each category showcased outstanding animals, with the winning 1st Calver belonging to Mr. Manzoor Bhatti, producing an impressive 20.150 liters of milk in 24 hours. Among the Adult Buffaloes, Mr. Sajjad Halli’s buffalo emerged victorious with a remarkable 29.750 liters of milk production in a day.
The event not only celebrated the exceptional capabilities of these animals but also served as a platform to promote healthy activities and acknowledge the efforts of the Livestock Department. Both participating farmers and residents expressed their appreciation for the Department’s dedication to providing quality services and fostering such initiatives.
