LAHORE: The Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association (PVPA) has called for dedicated stakeholder awareness and training sessions on the DRAP-Pakistan Single Window (PSW) Gateway for the veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health industry.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!In an official statement, PVPA Chairman Dr. Asim Mahmood congratulated the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) for successfully organizing the recent stakeholder training session on the DRAP-PSW Gateway.
He said the veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health industry is a key pillar of Pakistan’s livestock and poultry economy and should also benefit from dedicated capacity-building programmes on digital regulatory procedures.
Dr. Asim Mahmood requested DRAP to arrange specialized awareness and training sessions covering the online registration, import clearance and testing procedures for veterinary medicines, feed additives, nutritional supplements and other animal health products through the DRAP-PSW Gateway.
He noted that such initiatives would improve industry awareness, strengthen compliance with national regulatory requirements, facilitate legitimate trade, enhance public-private collaboration and support the Government of Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda aimed at improving the ease of doing business.
The PVPA Chairman reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to fully cooperate with DRAP and other relevant institutions in mobilizing industry stakeholders and supporting future awareness and training programmes.
Commenting on the ongoing digital transformation of regulatory services, Dr. Asim Mahmood said that countries around the world are adopting digital systems, and Pakistan’s transition towards online regulatory services through the DRAP-PSW Gateway is a welcome development. He added that the system will help simplify import procedures, reduce customs-related issues and make business processes more efficient for importers and exporters of veterinary products.
