Pakistan and China Explore New Trade Frontiers in Veterinary and Agriculture Sectors

Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association (PVPA), attended the Exclusive Interactive Session and B2B Meetings with a High-Level Chinese Trade Delegation at the FPCCI Regional Office in Lahore on 27 August 2026. The session was organized by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) to foster direct engagement between Pakistani commercial enterprises and Chinese delegates.

The event saw broad participation from the Chinese delegation alongside leaders from Pakistan’s agriculture, livestock, poultry, dairy, feed, veterinary pharmaceutical, and allied industries. Ms. Areeba Safdar, Secretary General of PVPA, was also present.

  • Beijing Egg Industry Association, focusing on egg production, processing technologies, distribution, and allied poultry systems.
  • Shandong Wedo Agritech Co., Ltd., presenting advancements in animal feed additives, modern farming machinery, and livestock solutions.
  • Shanxi Zhaoyi Biological Co., Ltd., representing veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal healthcare products.

Advancing PVPA and China Commercial Ties

The talks emphasized actionable steps to bridge PVPA member firms with relevant Chinese manufacturers and investors. Both sides agreed to structure a formal collaborative mechanism, enabling verified partnership prospects to be shared directly with PVPA members.

This initiative opens access for local companies targeting advancements in feed nutrition, veterinary therapeutics, specialized poultry cages, cold storage systems, and broader agritech applications. The session represents a major milestone in strengthening Pakistan-China industrial integration through cross-border trade, technology sharing, and long-term commercial alliances.
