Lahore, (August 22, 2024): The Punjab government announced a major reshuffle in the civil bureaucracy on Thursday, including major changes in the South Punjab Secretariat, through four separate notifications. These changes include the Department of Livestock and Wildlife.
As-per the official notification, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Azfar Zia has regularly been promoted to the BS-20 grade. He has been appointed as the Director General of the Punjab Auqaf Organization, against a vacant post, to actualize his promotion. Following the actualization of his promotion, Mr. Zia will be transferred and posted as the Special Secretary of the Livestock & Dairy Development Department, South Punjab, filling an existing vacancy.
This strategic appointment underscores the Punjab government’s renewed focus on strengthening the province’s livestock and dairy sectors, to boost efficiency and governance in these critical areas.
In another notable change, Sarfraz Hussain Khan, who was previously serving as the Secretary of the Forestry, Wildlife, & Fisheries Department, South Punjab, has been transferred to the Services & General Administration Department, where he awaits further orders.
