Usman Shaukat graduated with honors from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, with majors in Finance and International Business and a dual Bachelor of Arts degree with concentration in Economics. Usman Shaukat completed an Enterprise Strategy & Leadership executive education program from Harvard University in 2012 led by the global iconic professor, Michael Porter. In 2019, he accomplished an Entrepreneurial Growth executive education program from the London Business School (LBS) in the UK.
He was President of the Pakistan Students’ League at the University of Virginia from 1999-2000 and was also elected as member of the prestigious Jefferson Literary & Debating Society founded by the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson and included notable members such as Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of England. He enrolled in summer internship programs and had the
privilege of working at leading global corporate organizations such as Enron, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Solomon Smith Barney, Citicorp etc. He joined J.P.
Morgan Bank in New York City after graduation and continued his career on Wall Street until 2005. He returned to Pakistan in 2005 to join the pharmaceutical corporate group, Bio-Labs. Under his leadership, Bio-Labs has achieved significant growth trajectory since 2005 and is today ranked as one of the TOP 50 pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan with exports to over 18 countries globally. Bio-Labs with
annual revenues in excess of Rs. 2.5 Billion, a 1500 strong work force, and global footprints in 18+ countries internationally has the accolade of being ranked number 12 on the list of the fastest growing companies in the region known as ARABIA 500 in 2012 by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter’s All World Network.

In 2019, Bio-Labs reached another milestone when it laid the foundations of Bio Next Pharmaceuticals. A subsidiary of Bio-Labs, this state-of-the-art facility is also located in Islamabad and specializes in the manufacturing of injectable. Bio-Labs Consumer Health manufacturing facility has also been established for the production of Nutritional and Health Supplement products. Another sister concern, ZH Therapeutics, was also established in Islamabad for the manufacturing of personal care & hygiene products and is proud to be the only manufacturing entity of Pakistan exporting its products to the United States including hand sanitizers. In 2020, Usman Shaukat established Bio-Labs USA Inc., an entity based in Florida, USA for the import & distribution of products from Pakistan.
Usman Shaukat serves as the co-founder of Bio-Labs USA Inc. Under Usman’s leadership, Bio-Labs is an active philanthropist organization and to that end the company undertakes CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives from time to time. Moreover, in pursuit of its objective of a clean and green Pakistan, Bio-Labs developed and renovated a major public park and fountain within the city center of
Islamabad in 2020 namely, Gulistan-e-Fatima park. Also another corporate CSR project is the establishment of a café for physicians and doctors at the government’s FGSH Polyclinic hospital in Islamabad to improve the well being and working conditions of doctors at one of the largest public hospitals in Islamabad.
Usman Shaukat served as an executive member of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry for several terms and also served as the Chairman of the Pharmaceutical standing committee in RCCI representing 50+ pharmaceutical manufacturing entities of the region. He also served as Chairman Finance of the Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA). Usman Shaukat has
been elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA) for the term 2021-23.
Usman is a founding member and the former President of the Islamabad Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) – a 14000+ member’s strong peer to peer global network of entrepreneurs in 200 Chapters across 61 countries headquartered in Virginia, USA. He has previously served as Learning Chair (2018-19) and as Membership Chair (2019-20) on the EO Islamabad Chapter Board. Usman Shaukat served as EO Islamabad President for two consecutive years which is a record in EO history from 2020-22 and during his tenure EO Islamabad was able to significantly enhance its outreach through engagement of the diplomatic community and he was able to schedule an interaction of EO Islamabad with the
President of Pakistan in December 2020 where EO was introduced at the highest levels of the government for the first time and brought EO Islamabad into the limelight.

As President EO, Usman hosted EO Global Chair, David Anderson, who is a member from EO Arizona who visited Pakistan for the time in February 2022. Usman Shaukat currently serves on the regional council of EO as the finance Director for the MEPA region overseeing 30+ chapters of region.
In July 2022, he had the privilege of hosting Dilawar Syed on his maiden visit to Pakistan after being appointed by the Joe Biden administration as U.S. Special Representative (S/R) for Commercial and Business Affairs.
Usman Shaukat also served on the global positions of EO beyond the Pakistan chapter and was a part of the Global Executive Education Subcommittee responsible for designing and executing executive education programs with leading universities of the world (Harvard, Stanford, LBS, Insead etc) for the entrepreneurs of EO.
Usman Shaukat also served as the Regional Director Finance from 2023-25 for the EO MEPA (Middle East, Pakistan & Africa) region responsible for the financials and budgets of 20+ chapters in 12 countries across continents. With an annual budget of $800,000 for the MEPA region, Usman worked with the global standing finance committee, regional chairs, product directors and area directors of EO to ensure
fiscal discipline was maintained across chapters and the respective budgets were allocated accordingly to the products across EO MEPA region.
Currently he is also serving as the Zonal Executive Committee Member of the Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA). Usman Shaukat also served as Vice President of the Islamabad Industrial Association (IAA). a representative body for the industrial zones of Islamabad.
Usman Shaukat has been elected as the President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry-RCCI for the term 2024-26.
