Lahore, October 27, 2023: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in Lahore stood in solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine by observing a special Solidarity Day. The event, organized by the Senior Tutor’s Office at UVAS, included a solidarity walk and a seminar aimed at condemning acts of terrorism and war crimes committed by Israel.
Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmed, the solidarity walk took place at the UVAS city campus. Distinguished figures such as Chairman Sabir’s Group Dr. F.M. Sabir, Chairman QASF Mr. Qasim Ali Shah, Retired Prof Dr. Ather Mahmood, Deans, Directors, Chairpersons, and a large number of students representing various departments of UVAS, along with faculty members and administrative staff, actively participated in the walk.
The walk commenced at the Vice-Chancellor’s office and proceeded to the UVAS main lawn after a round of the City Campus. Similar activities were observed simultaneously at all UVAS campuses, including Ravi Campus Pattoki, CVAS Jhang, KBCMA CVAS-Narowal, and Para Veterinary Institute Karor Lal Eason Layyah.
The event aimed to express unwavering support and unity with the innocent people of occupied Kashmir and Palestine. It served as a platform to voice strong condemnation of terrorism and war crimes, particularly those committed by Israel.
