VIV Select China 2027 Expands Beyond 55,000 Sqm as Global Exhibitor Demand Accelerates
SHANGHAI: VIV Select China 2027 is set to expand its exhibition area beyond 55,000 square metres at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, with more than 370 companies already confirmed for the upcoming edition. The event, scheduled for 17–19 August 2027, will now cover Halls 1, 2 and 4 following strong demand for exhibition space.
According to VIV Worldwide’s official announcement, published on 2 November 2026, about 85% of the originally planned space in Halls 1 and 2 was booked within two months of the previous edition. Organisers subsequently added Hall 4 to accommodate demand from companies across the livestock and animal protein supply chain.
Three Halls to Serve an Expanding Industry
The enlarged exhibition will bring together manufacturers, equipment suppliers, animal health companies, nutrition specialists, livestock producers and international buyers. The additional hall will accommodate dedicated areas for V-AI+ Smart Farming, the International Pavilion, animal health, feed ingredients and additives, feed milling, farm equipment, breeding and hatching, and aquaculture.
For companies assessing participation in the event, the expansion indicates strong early demand for exhibition space, although the final exhibitor total and completed show area will only be known closer to the event.
Animal Health, Feed and Digital Farming Among the Growth Areas
Animal Health & Biosecurity
Veterinary products, diagnostic solutions and disease-prevention technologies.
Feed & Nutrition
Feed additives, ingredients, precision nutrition and feed milling equipment.
AI & Smart Farming
Digital equipment, precision feeding and data-supported livestock management.
Breeding & Hatching
Breeding systems, incubation equipment and technologies supporting poultry production.

Manure utilisation, low-emission farm systems and environmental controls.

Organisers report that the animal health, feed ingredients and additives, and feed milling categories have already taken more than 80% of their allocated exhibition space. Interest in AI-related smart farming solutions is also high, with registration approaching completion in that section.
2026 Attendance Shows International Reach
The 2026 edition attracted 20,300 professional visitors from 113 countries and regions, according to VIV Worldwide. In its 2026 post-show report, the organisers also recorded 550 exhibitors and 50,000 square metres of exhibition space. These are results for 2026 and should not be confused with the preliminary 2027 booking figures.
Through technology showcases and business matchmaking, the exhibition aims to connect Chinese manufacturers with overseas buyers while helping international companies explore China’s livestock market.
What the Expansion Means for Pakistan
For Pakistan’s poultry, livestock, dairy, animal health and feed industries, the enlarged exhibition could create opportunities to review new technologies, identify suppliers, compare equipment solutions and discuss distribution or trade partnerships.
Potential areas of interest include poultry housing and environmental control, feed manufacturing, veterinary diagnostics, farm biosecurity, hatchery technology, precision nutrition, waste management and aquaculture equipment. Manufacturers and distributors evaluating new partnerships will need to assess the commercial suitability, technical support, certification and applicable import requirements for the Pakistani market.
VNV’s wider regional reporting provides context for this international engagement. Readers can also explore VNV’s earlier VIV Select China coverage, its IPEX 2026 industry feature and reporting on Pakistan’s international poultry business connections.
Technology Transfer Requires More Than Exhibition Attendance
The strategic value of VIV Select China 2027 for Pakistani businesses lies in what happens after supplier meetings. Technology selection, local service capability, regulatory compliance, training and measurable improvements in farm or factory performance will determine whether international contacts become lasting commercial relationships. Pakistan’s animal production industries have much to gain from well-planned technical and business engagement.
