Eligibility Criteria for Professor BPS-21

Age Limit: 35 to 50 years

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in the relevant field from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
• Fifteen years teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute or university recognized by HEC, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
• Alternatively, ten years post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute or university recognized by HEC, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
• Fifteen research publications in HEC-recognized journals, out of which five publications must be within the last five years.

How to Apply

Candidates are required to apply online through the official UVAS Job Portal. After final submission, applicants must submit four sets of signed hardcopy / printout of the same pre-filled online application form along with copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s Office, UVAS Lahore, through post or courier service.

No application shall be received by hand. Applicants must fill in the online application form carefully because no editing will be allowed after final submission.

Application Fee

Applicants can generate and deposit the fee of Rs. 5,000 through Online Bank Challan in any branch of Bank Alfalah Ltd. in Pakistan. Candidates are required to attach the original paid bank challan with the application. Special persons are exempted from fee.

Important Note for Previous Applicants

Candidates who had already submitted applications against advertisements published by the university with last dates of 21 July 2023 and 10 June 2024 do not need to apply again.

However, if they want to update or edit their applications, they may submit updated or fresh hard copy and soft copy, where applicable, of the complete application to the Registrar’s Office within the stipulated time. Their previously deposited fee will remain valid.

Fresh Candidates

Fresh candidates can also apply for the advertised posts. Their age will be reckoned from the last date of submission of applications, i.e. Thursday, 18 June 2026.

Service, Pension and Application Conditions

• All fresh recruitments shall be governed under the Punjab Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025.
• Those already working on BPS within or outside the university and applying through proper channel will be governed under old BPS Pension Rules, subject to approval of the Syndicate.
• Applicants must provide the list of HEC-recognized publications, certified copies of the first page and index of HEC-recognized journals.
• Persons already employed in government or other organizations must submit applications through the proper channel within the due date.
• The required No Objection Certificate from the present employer must reach the Registrar’s Office before or on the last date for receipt of applications.
• Government employees must clarify through heads of attached departments that there is no pending inquiry, no outstanding dues and no adverse remarks in their annual confidential reports.
• Applicants must specifically mention in the application if they were awarded any penalty during studentship in any university or institution.
• Candidates holding professional degrees must be recognized or registered by the relevant council.

University Rights, Quota and Selection

• The university reserves the right not to fill any or all advertised posts without assigning any reason.
• The university may adjust, transfer or post selected candidates at any campus or centre of the university.
• The university may shortlist applications or candidates according to criteria determined by the Vice Chancellor.
• The university reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts.
• Quota will be observed as per rules: 15% Female, 03% Disabled and 05% Minorities for each post.
• Relaxation in age shall be given as per government policy.
• Interview call letters will be issued only to eligible candidates, while ineligible candidates will be informed separately.
• Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
