EuroTier 2026: Intelligence in Animal Farming

The guiding theme of EuroTier 2026 is “Intelligence in Animal Farming.” It focuses on the use of smart technologies to improve farm efficiency, productivity, sustainability, animal health and animal welfare.

The technical programme will address artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, sensor technology, big data, biosecurity, emissions, feed efficiency, environmental management and data-based decision-making in livestock production.

What EuroTier Covers

  • Cattle and dairy farming
  • Poultry production and hatchery technology
  • Pig, sheep, goat and equine production
  • Animal genetics, breeding and reproduction
  • Feed ingredients, additives and feeding systems
  • Veterinary health, biosecurity and herd management
  • Animal housing, ventilation and environmental control
  • Milking, cooling and dairy technology
  • Automation, robotics, sensors and artificial intelligence
  • Manure management, renewable energy and emissions control
  • Aquaculture, alternative proteins and direct farm marketing

Major Programme Features

EuroTier Milky Way

EuroTier Milky Way will present technologies across the dairy-production chain, including genetics, feeding, herd management, housing, milking, milk cooling, animal health and dairy-processing systems.

DLG-VetCon 2026

DLG-VetCon will be held on 12 and 13 November 2026 as part of EuroTier. The convention is designed for large-animal and herd-health veterinarians and will provide professional training, technical exchange and networking.

Biosecurity, Animal Health and Feed Safety

Specialist stages will address disease prevention, farm hygiene, feed safety, livestock health management, antimicrobial stewardship and preventive technologies.

Innovation and Farm Robotics

Innovation Boulevard and the Barn Robot Event will showcase new technologies, award-winning products and practical automation systems for livestock farms.

Start-ups and Emerging Technologies

The agrifood start-up area will provide young companies with a platform to present digital applications, sustainable production systems and technology-based solutions for animal agriculture.

History of EuroTier

The first EuroTier was held in Hannover in 1993. It developed from the earlier specialist animal-husbandry exhibitions known as “Huhn & Schwein” and “Tier & Technik.”

Over the following decades, EuroTier developed into a major biennial meeting point for farmers, veterinarians, scientists, manufacturers and agribusiness decision-makers. Its scope has expanded from conventional livestock production to precision farming, artificial intelligence, robotics, emissions reduction, renewable energy, aquaculture and alternative proteins.

EuroTier’s Global Scale

The previous EuroTier edition in 2024 recorded:

2,193Exhibitors
51Exhibitor Countries
120,000Visitors
149Visitor Countries

The 2024 event also featured approximately 520 specialised events and conferences. These figures relate to the previous edition and should not be presented as confirmed attendance figures for EuroTier 2026.

Why EuroTier 2026 Matters for Pakistan

Livestock Is a Major Economic Sector

According to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2025–26, livestock accounted for 62.4 percent of agricultural value addition and 14.6 percent of national GDP. More than eight million rural families are involved in livestock production, which contributes an estimated 35 to 40 percent of their household income.

Improving Dairy Productivity

Pakistan needs greater investment in animal productivity, milk quality, herd recording, farm automation, cold-chain systems, nutrition and reproductive management. EuroTier gives Pakistani dairy businesses access to milking systems, cooling equipment, precision feeding, sensors, genetics and manure-management technologies.

Supporting the Poultry Industry

Pakistani poultry companies can use EuroTier to examine hatchery and incubation systems, climate-controlled housing, modern feeding equipment, laboratory diagnostics, biosecurity, vaccination, processing, grading, packaging and artificial-intelligence applications.

Veterinary Health and Disease Control

Pakistan continues to address economically important diseases including foot-and-mouth disease, peste des petits ruminants, lumpy skin disease and avian influenza. EuroTier’s animal-health and biosecurity programme can support better surveillance, diagnostics, herd-health planning and responsible antimicrobial use.

Business and Technology Partnerships

Feed manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, equipment importers, breeders, processors and farm owners from Pakistan can explore distributorships, joint ventures, local manufacturing, technology transfer, training and research collaboration.

Value for Universities and Research Institutions

Veterinary and agricultural universities can build international links in precision livestock farming, reproductive biotechnology, diagnostics, feed efficiency, climate-smart production, antimicrobial resistance, aquaculture and alternative proteins.

Who Should Attend from Pakistan?

  • Livestock, poultry and dairy farmers
  • Veterinary doctors and herd-health consultants
  • Feed mills and feed-additive companies
  • Animal-health, vaccine and medicine companies
  • Dairy, meat and poultry processors
  • Hatchery, breeding and genetics companies
  • Farm equipment and machinery importers
  • Agricultural universities and research organisations
  • Government livestock departments and regulators
  • Trade associations, exporters and investors
  • Fisheries, aquaculture and alternative-protein companies

VNV Insight

EuroTier should not be viewed by Pakistan’s livestock industry merely as an international exhibition. It is a practical platform for comparing technologies, identifying reliable suppliers, studying global production standards and developing commercial and research partnerships.

Pakistan has a large livestock population and a strong domestic market, but greater progress requires improved farm productivity, disease control, feed efficiency, cold-chain infrastructure, traceability, automation and closer links between research and commercial production.

Why It Matters

EuroTier 2026 will place productivity, animal welfare, sustainability, artificial intelligence and biosecurity on one international platform. For Pakistan, these issues directly affect food security, farm profitability, disease prevention, milk and meat quality, export competitiveness and rural livelihoods.

Closing

EuroTier 2026 will be held from 10 to 13 November 2026 in Hannover, Germany. The Veterinary News & Views will continue to follow official programme announcements, exhibitors, technical conferences and opportunities relevant to Pakistan’s livestock, poultry, dairy, veterinary and agribusiness sectors.
