Subsidy Details
Under the scheme:
- 116,000 electric motorcycles will be supported
- Each electric bike will receive a subsidy of Rs 80,000
- Electric rickshaws will receive a subsidy of Rs 400,000
The government plans to distribute 76,000 electric bikes by June 2026, with 25% of the quota reserved for female applicants to encourage greater mobility, economic participation, and independence for women.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be Pakistani citizens
- Be between 18 and 65 years of age
- Hold a valid driving license
- Maintain a clean financial record
A Step Toward Green Mobility
The scheme is designed to reduce reliance on imported fuel, lower urban air pollution, and provide cost-effective transport solutions for daily commuters and small transport operators. By accelerating the shift toward electric mobility, the government aims to cut carbon emissions and align Pakistan with international climate commitments.
