A high-level consultative meeting was held at the Quetta Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI) to advance Balochistan’s horticulture and olive export potential. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and hosted by the President, QCCI.
During the session, participants were briefed on a three-year Horticulture Export Action Plan, outlining strategic interventions for export-led growth. The meeting also included a presentation on the upcoming Horticulture Exhibition scheduled for August/September 2026 in Quetta, aimed at showcasing the province’s horticulture potential to national and international buyers.
Key discussions identified olive cultivation as a priority export crop, with emphasis on capacity building, sectoral development, grower training, value-added product development, and market intelligence. Growers, exporters, and members of the business community actively participated, sharing on-ground challenges and proposing practical solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
The meeting highlighted Balochistan’s vast untapped potential in high-value horticulture and olives, reaffirming the joint commitment of public and private stakeholders to strengthen export readiness and position the province as a competitive player in regional and global agri-export markets.
