A graduate of Riphah International University, she holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and has been recognized for her academic excellence and field engagement since the early days of her career.
Her foundational training included extensive clinical rotations under some of the country’s most respected veterinary experts, including Dr. Khalil Muhammad, Dr. Arif, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dr. Taimor Khalid, and Dr. Mazhar—an authority in small animal orthopedic surgery. These early exposures enabled her to develop a strong skill set in both large and small animal care, surgical procedures, calf management, and diagnostic practices.
Dr. Shah currently serves as the Assistant Zonal Manager – Central Punjab at DairyLac Pvt. Ltd., a leading player in Pakistan’s animal nutrition industry. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing field veterinary operations across the region, providing consultative support to dairy and fattening farms, delivering technical training, and contributing to the development of health programs that improve livestock productivity. Her work focuses on implementing scientifically backed feeding strategies, monitoring metabolic health, managing reproductive protocols, and minimizing mycotoxin risks—critical elements in optimizing herd performance.
Prior to this position, she worked as Assistant Training Manager at DairyLac, where she played a significant role in organizing veterinary workshops and enhancing the skills of professionals in multiple districts. Her dedication to knowledge sharing and professional development has made her a respected name among colleagues and farmers alike.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Dr. Huria Shah is also the founder and CEO of the HS Animal Welfare Society, a youth-led organization dedicated to responsible animal ownership, welfare education, and pet care awareness.
