About the Competition
The World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) has opened the 2026 Cliff D. Carpenter International Essay Competition to encourage global networking, knowledge exchange, and stronger student participation in international poultry science platforms. Selected winners (preferably from different continents) will receive travel support to attend WPC 2026 in Toronto.

- Age: 18–30 years (Birthday between October 1, 1995 and October 1, 2007)
- Status: Full-time undergraduate or graduate student in Poultry Science or related discipline with poultry emphasis (including DVM, PhD, MS, BS)
- WPSA Membership: Member since at least January 1, 2025

Essay Topic
“Connecting young poultry scientists through WPSA: Students’ interests and expectations”
- Word limit: Up to 2,000 words (including preface)
- Language: English
- Format: Typed, double-spaced, 12-pt font, 1-inch margins
- Must include: Title page + Preface page + Essay
- Submit with: Official application form + one recommendation letter (max 1 page)
