Pakistani scientist Prof. Dr. Kausar Abdulla Malik, one of the country’s most distinguished agricultural researchers, has been awarded the prestigious Zero Hunger Champion Award 2025 by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC). The award was presented during CrushCon 2025 / HungerCON 2025, USSEC’s flagship regional event held in Dubai on December 3–4, 2025.

The Zero Hunger Champion Award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to food security, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition systems across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA) region.

Among these distinguished nominees, Prof. Dr. Malik was declared the winner, marking a proud moment for Pakistan’s scientific and agrifood communities. His victory recognizes decades of contributions to biotechnology, agricultural research, and national development.
