General Shahid, the Director-General (RVFC), and his team recently conducted a comprehensive visit to the Poultry Research Institute (PRI). During their visit, they held a meeting with the sectional in-charges of PRI to discuss various aspects of poultry farming and research.
Dr. Farhan Afzal, the Director of PRI, provided an overview of the ongoing institutional activities and shared insights into potential developments in the commercial poultry sector. The discussions encompassed a wide range of topics aimed at enhancing the poultry industry.
The Director of PRI also highlighted the proactive measures taken by the department to expand and strengthen the sector. These measures are designed to meet the growing local demand for poultry products and explore opportunities for exporting poultry-related items.
As part of the visit, General Shahid and his team toured rural poultry breeder farms, the extension section, the hatchery, and the reference poultry disease diagnostic laboratory. This hands-on experience allowed them to gain valuable insights into the various aspects of poultry farming, research, and disease diagnosis.
